Create an engaging and modern UI for an energy application that empowers customers to monitor and manage their vehicle’s energy consumption and enhances the user experience, making it easy for customers to monitor and manage their charging preferences seamlessly across both vehicles.

The project involved designing graphics for a robust application that delivers real-time insights into energy usage, empowering users to optimize their driving habits and make informed decisions about charging and efficiency. Featuring tools such as energy consumption tracking, predictive analytics, and personalized tips, the app helps users take greater control of their vehicle’s performance and sustainability. This application was set to be included in two new GM vehicles—the 2022 GMC Hummer EV and the Brightdrop electric delivery van.

Target Hardware

• Translating UX wireframes into high-fidelity designs for seamless handoff to development

• Collaborating with brand leads, feature owners, product designers, onshore and offshore software development teams, and localization teams to ensure designs meet hardware and program specifications

• Validating graphics at all stages of development and participating in both bench and in-vehicle reviews

• Conducting ride tests to evaluate visibility and usability under various conditions, including nighttime, bright sunlight, snow, rain, and fog

The app offers two modes for the Hummer—day and night—allowing users to customize their charging experience based on their needs.
